O`BRIEN, Edward J. - Passed peacefully away on Thursday, September 4, 2003 at the Palliative Care Unit, after a courageous battle with cancer, Edward James O`Brien of Cape Broyle, age 69 years. Predeceased by his father Thomas; his infant son Gerard; sisters: Mary Stoyles (Gus), Gertie Simmonds (Jim). Leaving to mourn two sons: Wayne (Jewel and Danielle), Paradise, Hughie (Lorraine), Ontario; daughter Lisa, Ontario and their mother Evelyn, Goose Bay; grandchildren: Christopher, Jesse, Amanda and Amy; his mother Margaret O`Brien, Cape Broyle; four brothers: Junior (Bernadette), Charlie (Lucy), Cape Broyle, Richard (Jocelyn), Mount Pearl, Robert (Trudy), Brampton; five sisters: Josephine Whelan (John), Marg Carew, Lil Hawkins (Terrence), Marlie Molloy (Leo), Cape Broyle, Cathy Fleming (Frank, deceased), St. John`s; brother-in-law Don Carew; the Walsh family: Ann, Theresa, Marg, Susan, Tommy and Jodi and their families; also a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, ! other relatives and friends. Cremation to follow. September 05, 2003 O`BRIEN, Henry (Harry) - Passed peacefully away at his daughters residence after a lengthy illness on Friday, September 05, 2003, age 71. Predeceased by his parents Henry and Monica (Hayes). Left to celebrate his life, his wife of 46 years, Sheila (Ryan); four sons: Gerard (Peggy), Trenton, Ontario; Ken (Donna), Greg (Debbie), Gander, NL; Keith (Eileen), Shearwater, NS and one daughter Karen. He will be sadly missed by his sister Ann Casey (Bill) and brother-in-law Cyril Ryan (Margot), Belleville, Ontario; and ten grandchildren: Michael, Allyson, Patrick, Kyle, Ashley, Adam, Danielle, Mark, Sean and Devon. He will also be sadly missed and remembered fondly by many other loved relatives and friends in St. John`s and Bellevue. Resting at Caul`s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road.
