She married Alfred Gordon Cowan and in 1926, they moved from Halifax to Digby, N.S. She was known in Newfoundland as Aunt Cook. The last trip she made back to Flower's Cove was when she was quite old and all the people from Flower's Cove thought it was a really long trip for a woman of that age. It must have been when one of her half brothers died. She lived to be 97 years old and always said she wanted to live to be 100. She had a great sense of humor and was really active up to a couple of years before she died. When she was interviewed for her 94 th. birthday, she told the editor she would see them again in ten years. He agreed that they would probably be back to celebrate her 104 th. Alfred and Arabella lived with their children in Halifax until 1926 when they moved to Digby, Nova Scotia due to an appointment as Chief Of Police. He resigned his Office in 1934 after eight years of faithful service due to ill health. He died shortly after.
