FLYNN, Bernadine (nee Hicks) - Passed peacefully away at her home in Avondale in the presence of her family on Thursday, November 6th, 2003, Bernadine Flynn, aged 88 years. Predeceased by her husband, D. Cyril; her son, Cyril P.; her three infant children: Billy, Mary Theresa and Ella Marie. Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Gervase (Josephine), Oughterard, Ireland, Harold (Faye), Avondale and her daughter Anne, St. John`s; her four granddaughters: Yvonne (Joe) Sheehan, Campbell River, B.C., Norma (Dave) Noseworthy, Campbellville, Ontario, Glenna (Justin) Foote, St. John`s and Lindsey, Halifax; many nieces, nephews; her caregivers: Hilda, Margaret, Wanda; her Eucharistic Minister, Pam; and a circle of dear friends. Resting at Dunphy`s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation on Saturday and Sunday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will take place on Monday, November 10th, 2003 following 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial from Assumption Church, Avondale. November 07, 2003 HOYLES, Baxter - Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger`s Quay on Tuesday, November 4, 2003, Baxter Hoyles, age 89 years of Pound Cove. Predeceased by his parents John and Leah Hoyles; brothers: Joseph and Fred; sister: Jane; son-in-laws: Allan Housell and Calvin Blagdon; great-great-grandson Nicholas. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Margaret; five sons: Ken (Peggy) of Brookfield, John (Sadie) of Mt. Pearl, Eric (Doreen) of Newtown, Scott of Badger`s Quay, Grant (Darlene) of Newtown; four daughters: Jane Blagdon of Mt. Pearl, Marina Kean (Russell) of Pound Cove, Irene Housell of Pound Cove, Marilyn Johnson (Tom) of St. John`s; twenty-one grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Rose Hoyles of Carbonear; nephew: Stanley Cooze of Brookfield and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Funeral service was held on November 7, 2003 from St. Mary`s Anglican Church, Pound Cove with Rev. V. Reid officiating. Interment ! followed from the Anglican Church Cemetery, Pound Cove. November 07, 2003 HYNES, Trevor - Died suddenly on November 4th, 2003 in a tragic automobile accident in Alberta, age 32. Predeceased by his grandparents Charles and Delilah Sturge. Leaving to celebrate his life, children: Briana, Brooke and William; special friend Debbie, her children Amber, Kendra and Sarah; mother Doreen (Chris); father Bill (Stella); brother Blair (Jodie); grandparents William and Theresa Hynes; and many aunts, uncles and cousins in the Sturge and Hynes families. Funeral arrangements to be announced. November 07, 2003 MURRAY, John (Jack) Thomas - Passed away at his residence on Thursday, November 6th, 2003, John (Jack) Thomas Murray at the age of 90 years. Retired machinist with the C.N. Dockyard, and Merchant Marine. Leaving to mourn with fond memories, his loving and devoted wife Mary; three daughters: Doreen (Robert Noseworthy), Brenda Inder and Anne Marie (Glen Kearsey); four sons: Dr. Gerald (Janet), John (Kathy Knox), Frank and Robert (Tanya); 11 grandchildren: Paul (Kelly), Peter and Janet Noseworthy, Lisa (John Laviolette), Robert, Craig, Katie and Julia Murray, Tracy and Mark Inder, Emily Kearsey; one great-grandson, Cameron Laviolette; sister Mary Murray; brother Gerald, Williamsville, NY; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett`s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Friday from 12 noon - 4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.; and on Saturday from 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held from St. Patrick`s Church, Patrick Street on Saturday, Nov! ember 8, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
