Warm Regards, Bonnie Hello Members We would like to welcome new members to the list and say thanks to those who have stayed with this list so long. Our next roll call begins Saturday November 15th, and will end on Monday November 17th. We generally have a roll call every second month and have a great response during the three days allotted. Please read the following for guidelines and directions. ROLL CALL SITE: If you haven't updated your surname interests recently now is the time to do so. ROLL CALL: Roll Call gives each list member an opportunity to list "all" surnames they are researching. There is no reason these can't be posted at any time, however, this period is given specifically to roll calls. There is no "special" way that they need to be stated, however there are a few suggestions that we would make: i.e. capitalize the surname, include last known location and date. Guidelines: a) Everyone who chooses too will participate during the allotted time frame only (3 days). b) "Roll Call", and as many surnames as possible MUST BE LISTED IN THE SUBJECT AREA so that people who are interested, or not, may read it or delete it. c) It will last for the three days only. After the third day all "roll call" messages, will cease until the next appointed date (May 15th, 2003). d) In the body of message: List the surnames and possible areas of research and possible dates. 2. A summary of roll calls will be updated at the Roll Call site by Glynn Hewlett. Please be patient as there are many names, locations and email addresses that will have to be updated. 3. Suggestions have been made that perhaps we should list the surnames of families that have married into the families you are researching in the body of the message. I will leave that up to the individual poster. 4. This "Roll Call" is for the NFLD-LAB MAIL LIST ONLY. NEW MEMBERS/CURRENT MEMBERS Thank you for your participation. Please take advantage of this opportunity to post your surname interest(s). Some of you could at least make two to three contacts over this period. Please feel free to respond to any email that is sent to the list. Monday will be the last day for posting of roll call surnames. For those new to the list please see below the URL to the roll call page. Good Luck.
