Hi Andrew, If the train was Canadian it would have been operated by the CNR, I believe. If it was American, it no doubt would have been the Boston and Maine. I went to Newfoundland in 1945 via train . I lived in Lynn, right on the Saugus line, but we had to go to the North Station in Boston for the train and also we were dropped off in Boston on arriving home from Newfoundland. I lived only about a three minute walk from a Lynn train station and I only remember local travel on those trains. Frank Strugnell,Derry, N.H.
