I came across this in some school notes that I had written down years ago as told to me by an older colleague. It came from an early Newfoundland newspaper. It said that the ship HINDU from Bremen en route to New York had come across the bodies of four men in an open boat. The article said that they may have been those of four men who had drifted off from the Bay de Verde area earlier in the year. Has anyone ever come across this article in any paper?
