October 16, 2003 MERCER, Marshall Victor James (Lynch) 2002 - 2003- Marshall Victor James Mercer (Mr. Man), beloved son of Brandi Lynch and Victor Mercer of Calgary, passed away peacefully at home while he slept on October 12, 2003 at the age of 20 months. On January 30, 2002 our lives were forever brightened when our precious Marshall was born. He touched so many in his short time here with his adorable smile, infectious giggle and funny faces. He adored his big sister Mackenzie and loved to chase his kitty all over. From day one, Marshall had an intense love for food, always carrying around a package of Teddy Grahams wherever he went. Sadly, on June 13, 2003, at the age of 16 months, Marshall suffered a tragic near-drowning accident at home. He was not given much hope but his strength and determination pulled him through, much to the amazement of many. When he finally returned home, Marshall seemed more relaxed and at peace than he had in four months. It was this peace and comfort in being! at home that allowed Marshall to finally have a good sleep. Although he is now gone, he will be in our hearts forever and we take solace in the fact that he is our Guardian Angel, now watching over us and keeping his big sister safe. We love you, Mr. Baby, and will think of you every minute of every day. Thank you to all who have prayed for Marshall and the family, and to all those who helped us to get the treatments. Besides his loving Mom and Dad and big sister Mackenzie, Marshall is survived by Grampa Jim, Gramma Marg and Grampa Dave, Gramma Lola, Gramma Betty and Grampa Victor, Nan, Pop, Auntie Shari and Uncle Don, Aunties Crystal and Melanie, and numerous other cousins, great aunts and uncles, and many family friends. A Celebration of Marshall`s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY`S, Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E., Calgary, AB,) on Thursday, October 16, 2003 at 2:30 P.M. with the Rev.
