    3. I found an entry in the Royal Nfld Regiment 1795 listing. It was Lieutenant George Garland. Cawley 25 Arpil 1795. I wonder why the George Garland name has a period after the name and then Cawley. Are they two different people? If so, where can I find out for sure? My great-great-great great grandfather was James Cawley of Harbour Grace. I believe that his wife Charlotte was a Garland (the original marriage info has a missing portion so no one can read James Cawley wife's name. Harold Simms Norwell, Massachusetts
