I have a record of Timothy Lane (Lyons) from Turks Gut marrying Ruth Jacob. Their child was Henry Lane who married Martha. Sorry no dates Their daughter was Jane Lane (Lyons) who married David Slyney (Sliney) of Chapel's Cove. Jane was from Brigus Junction. David was the son of Patrick Slyney of Kilarney, Ire and his wife, Martha Hawco from Chapel's Cove. David Sliney had a brother Thomas Sliney (1841)who married Constance Fardy (1850)of Chapel's Cove/Lakeview. I am trying to straighten out the Costellos as well. Cathy, Kendrick. Judy, My grandfather was John Thomas McGee born 1880, his father was John married to Mary Penny in 1865. Thomas who married Sarah Gushue was great-grandfather John's brother. Still looking for which family Mary Penney was from...there's about 30 Mary Penney's born in or around Avondale in that time frame <grrr>.
