John Blackey seaman - 1780 Settlement examination at Combeinteignhead, Devon Born at St Johns, Newfoundland, was bound an apprentice by his parents to John Martin of East Teignmouth, until he was 21 yrs. Soon after, he came with his master to East Teignmouth, where he lived in the winter time. Went to Newfoundland in summer, and continued to do so until his time expired.
