    3. yes it can be used to show aboriginal ancestry. I also saw a show on the history channel recently where they had extracted some DNA from the teeth of two Beothuck skulls being held in Scotland and were doing some tests to see if they can determine the heritage of that tribe. ..... I just noticed your last name. Are you from the Greenspond Edgar family ? My first name is Edgar :-) Ed Barbour ----- Original Message ----- From: "john edgar" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, November 04, 2006 10:36 PM Subject: Re: [NFLD-LAB] DNA primer > Hi Folks, > Does anyone know if these tests can be done to verify aboriginal ancestry? > It seems I heard that some folks in central Newfoundland were being tested > for descendancy from Beothucks, but I have not heard anything about it > lately. > > Thanks, > John > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: <[email protected]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Saturday, November 04, 2006 7:39 PM > Subject: Re: [NFLD-LAB] DNA primer > > >> Hello Grace, >> >> I spent $118 on this test. 3. Hi Ed, Thanks for the reply regarding DNA and aboriginal ancestry. I am not related to the Greenspond Edgar's. My gf came to NL from Scotland in 1912. I think the family in Green Bay may be Greenspond descendants.
