Dear Maureen, I drove by myself from FLorida to NL last summer.I went to Argentia because if was that many less hours driving. I recommend bringing your own quilt and pillow which was recommended to me. I slept 13 of the 14hrs after taking a Gravol for possible seasickness. It was wonderful and relaxing and no big trip after you arrive. Just my opinion. Do not do any driving at night in NL as the moose are all over the place.
