William PIDGEON was a dual resident of Newfoundland and of Devon. He owned a plantation in partnership with John SPINSTER in Ferryland, Newfoundland, which eventually went to SWEETLAND & Co. He was appointed constable in Toad's Cove. In Devon he maintained a residence for his family in Seaton & Beer until his death in 1734. He was bapt 1670 in Sidbury, son of Nicholas & married 1692 to Joan MANNING in Seaton & Beer. His daughter Ann married Richard NEWTON and daughter Elizabeth married Daniel SEAWARD.
