    3. Just to clarify Dan. Dad was born and raised in Northern Bay. He fished there until 1941 when he joined the Canadian Navy in St. John's, where he served for the duration of the war. There were many like him as the RCN actively recruited Newfoundlanders all through the war. Cheers.
