Looking for information on William and Susannah Anderson residing in Fortune and baptizing the following children. Elizabeth born 4/10/ 1841 baptized 6/20/1841 William Gallop 10/1/1843 baptized 6/20/1841 Emanuel 8/12/1847 baptized 12/29/1847 ALSO William and Susannah Anderson in Fortune Dinah 10/16/1825 William 1/7/1829 AND William and Susannah Anderson in Upper Burgeo Sarah 3/3/44 baptized 4/14/44 Martha Jane 12/31/45 baptized 1/14/46 Are the ones in the 1840's the same couple? Might they have had children baptized in Fortune as well as Burgeo to please family? Does anyone have information on The maiden names of the mothers? Am also stuck on the marriage of Charles and Mary Anderson Nee Rose. They were married in Petites but supposedly lived in La Poile. They had Catherine 1860, Jane 1862, Johanna 1865, Mary 1868, Thomas 1871, John 1874, Benjamin 1878 and Henry 1880. The years noted are baptismal dates. Any help breaking my brick walls? Pat

Hello, have been researching in Newfoundland since 1987. While maybe not the desired outcome, the circuit clergy would often baptize in one church, put the notes for transcription in their pockets and record them wherever/whenever they had the time to do so. I found this to be particularly true of RC priests.
