    3. Mr. Barbour, I happen to stumble upon a thred (below) you posted a couple years back on RIchad Howell. I have a possible connection to my family. I'm writing from Labrador, my Howell ancestors go back to Western Bay, one of which is a Richard Howell. My notes are pretty scattered as I can't seem to make the time to sit down and figure all this out but if perhaps we can make a connection between two families, this will be well worth it!! My great great grandfather Peter Howell was born in 1834 in Western Bay. He moved to Red Bay Labrador (where my parents still live). Peter died in 1898 in Red Bay. Peter's father was Robert Howell, born in Western Bay in 1784, died in Western Bay 1868. Possibly have married a Rebecca?? I'm not sure. Robert's brother was Richard (I think thier father's name was also Richard) who married a Mary Rose in Dec 1819. I'm guessing its the same Richard, as I have five kids listed, three of which are Julia, Richard and William. Of these three, the only child I had a DOB for was William, which is the same as you listed below, 1830. I would be happy to share any info I have with you, including the little I have on all five of Richard's and Mary's children. I would also be happy to provide you with any info on the family of Peter Howell (Richard's nephew), from whom i decended from. I hope this has been some help. I would love to have some info on the other side of the family tree. I believe a Howell from Bonivista contacted my father a few years back but he couldn't make any connection at the time. Only recently have I been able to track our footsteps back past my great great grandfather Peter, who we knew was not born in Red Bay but didn't know where he came from. If I'm not greatly mistaken, I think his headstone still stands in a cemetary in Red Bay, about 100 yards from my parents house. I would be happy to send you pictures of Red Bay, if its something you would like to add to your tree maker. I look forward to hearing back from you. Janet Howell Pye Labrador Hi Matt, I sent Debbie all my Howell info back to Richard of Western >>> Bay, >>> CB. I was wondering if you can help me with the Western Bay part of the >>> family.
