    3. Hi there The FHC refers to the Family History Centers found in many Mormon Churches. They have micro film readers and will order reels from Salt Lake for you to use for a period of time, usually about 30 days. There is a minimal charge per reel, Not sure what it is now but was about 2.50 or so (US) a few years back when I was ordering reels. I think I did hear that the charge had gone up since then but do not know how much. Not sure where you live but the library in Vero Beach, Florida has registered as a Family History Center and is able to order any of the reels from Salt Lake City. Plus they have new, excellent readers for the reels, as well. It might be possible that a local library in your area may have done the same thing. Hope this helps a bit Don -----Original Message----- From: nfld-lab-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:nfld-lab-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Doris Cooper Sent: Thursday, February 19, 2009 2:36 PM To: nfld-lab@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [NFLD-LAB] 1921 census..Burin District..community of Corbin Hello Cheryl, I would like more specific information on ordering the microfilm that might be available for areas that I am researching (Burin area). I grew up in the States so I don't recognize what FHC might be. I spent as many hours as could be arranged during my recent trip to Newfoundland researching Church records of the Anglican Church for the 1800s. A few hours is only the tip of the iceberg. Is it possible to obtain microfilm/digital images of this information? I've looked on the NGB site and gleaned what is available there. Thank you to all the folks who worked so hard to post information to that site. Doris

    3. It now costs $7.00 to order film here in Alberta. I went to a FHC several months ago.
