    3. Waterloo Region Record, Kitchener, Ont. - 03 Oct 2009 EMBURY, Emmie Frances (nee Dawe) - Died peacefully at A.R. Goudie, Wednesday, September 30, 2009 (age 86). She started life as Emmie in St. John's Nfld. on Oct. 19, 1922, became known as Frances once she came to Canada in 1947. Predeceased by her loving husband, Phillip Embury (03/15/96); parents, Minnie Rosamund Edgecombe (3/6/86) and William Richards Dawe (5/26/86); granddaughter, Nancy Lynn Embury (9/15/08); brothers, Leslie, Billie, Ronnie, Cecil and Harry. Survived by younger sister and brother, Ethel Derraugh and Gilbert Dawe, both of Hull, Que. Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews and loving mother to David Embury (Diana) of Waterloo Ont., Noreen Bruce of Mississauga Ont., Phyllis Chapman (John) of Waterloo, Ont. and Lynn Embury of Delta, B.C. Sorely missed by grandchildren, Janet Embury, Aaron Bruce, Kyle Bruce, Jason Chapman, Andrew Chapman, Grace Chapman, Jeremy McElroy and Jessica McElroy. Friends are invited to share memories of Emmie Frances with her family at St. Bride's Anglican Church, 1516 Clarkson Rd. N., Mississauga on Monday, October 5, 2009 from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. A very special thank you goes out to all of the caring staff at The Salvation Army A.R. Goudie Eventide Home in Kitchener, Ontario, Emmie's home for the last 18 months.
