The full title is Births, Deaths & Marriages 1810-1890 from Newfoundland newspapers by Gert CROSBIE. It is available on disk for about $50 & is also available in print format. The printed format is 14 volumes which cost $15-$20 each. Both are available from the Maritime History Archive at Memorial University of Newfoundland. They only contain the info as printed in the newspapers. A birth could be announced as SMITH - a son to John SMITH date & newspaper given. Some entries do contain more info but certainly not anything like we see in today's papers. The local libraries &, I believe, the LDS Family History Centres have copies.
