_____ From: John Crane [mailto:John.Crane@cmic.ca] Sent: May 10, 2010 9:53 AM To: nfld-lab-bounces@rootsweb.com Subject: Eldred Crane RNR # 2678 Sharon: found your request by accident.and sorry for the delay in responding. the Eldred Crane in question is my grandfather.he was born in Upper Island Cove, Conception Bay in 1895.he married Elsie Blanche Woolridge in St. John's in 1921 and lived there for the remainder of his life.he passed away in St. John's in 1978. his son, my father, JW. Earl Crane, was born in St. John's in 1926.dad was an only child. I really know very little about his daily life, and was only able to assemble his war record after his death.I stayed with both he and Else Blanche for only a couple of months during their lifetime, and that gave me some insight.they were amazing people. I really doubt that there is a connection, but if you find points of further interest, please just let me know.. if this is not the family that you are looking for, I wish you much success in your search.I know how important family history is.
