Sharon, seeing you are in England, would you like to to keep your eye open for the name John Swain,School Teacher, who came to Perry's Cove, Carbonear, NL., under the direction of either the Church of England or the Method Church. His birth date, I believe, was 1797??. I have been given certain data which suggests that he may have come from Ulster, Ireland. I would appreciate some info on our relatives in the UK. Tiny! How are you, it's been a while. We've spent enough time working on COFFIN family lines over the years, but I guess I hadn't realized that some of your people were from NL also. I had always wondered how it was that my gggmother Annie COFFIN ended up in NL with parents from PEI and NS! Here's a very abridged Ahnentafel ancestry of my gfather showing the connections between NL (ANTLE, CHALKER, NOEL, PARKER), NS (STERNS) and PEI (MUTCH, COFFIN, FARQUHARSON). More details available at: http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=gcbodie First Generation 1. Ernest Stephen ANTLE was born on 22 Nov 1899 in Sedro Wooley, WA, USA. He was baptized on 12 Dec 1899 in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Vancouver, BC, Canada. Second Generation 2. Rev John ANTLE was born on 25 Oct 1865 in Brigus, Conception Bay, NL, Canada. He was baptized on 26 Jan 1866 in Brigus, Conception Bay, NL, Canada. He died on 3 Dec 1949 in Vancouver, BC, Canada. He was buried on 7 Dec 1949 in at Sea in Manson's Deep off Vancouver. 3. Her ashes were shipped West and sprinkled on the waters of Georgia Strait off Vancouver. Third Generation 4. Capt Stephen ANTLE was born on 8 Nov 1840 in Brigus, Conception Bay, NL, Canada. He was baptized on 24 Nov 1840 in Brigus, Conception Bay, NL, Canada. He died on 24 Sep 1914 in St John's, NL, Canada. He was buried in Brigus, Conception Bay, NL, Canada. 5. Lydia F CHALKER was born on 7 Dec 1843 in Brigus, Conception Bay, NL, Canada. She was baptized on 17 Jan 1844 in Brigus, Conception Bay, NL, Canada. She died on 14 Aug 1901. She was buried in Brigus, Conception Bay, NL, Canada. 6. Solomon MUTCH was born on 7 Dec 1828 in Mount Herbert, PEI, Canada. He died on 6 Feb 1930 in New Westminster, BC, Canada. He was buried on 8 Feb 1930 in Mountain View, Vancouver, BC, Canada. He left PEI and spent years in NF, then moved to Burnaby, BC. After his wife's death, he married his cousin, a widow. After his second wife's death, at 84, he married again. His third wife died when he was 101. 7. Anne COFFIN was born on 2 Nov 1831 in PEI, Canada. She died on 13 Jan 1906 in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
