1. [NFLD-LAB] MICHAEL (O)BRIEN of AQUAFORTE and FERMEUSE: 1810-1894
    2. BILL DORGAN
    3. Listers: I am searching for information about my GG Grandfather, MICHAEL BRIEN. He died at Fermeuse on 8 October 1894 at age 84. The NFLD Vitals say he died at 84. This would place his birth at ± 1810. He married Catherine (Kate). I do not know her last name. She died 15 November 1905 at Fermeuse. The NFLD Vitals say she died at 86. This would place her birth at ± 1819. Both are buried at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery, Markers L106 & L107 respectively, Fermeuse, Newfoundland. QUESTIONS: Can someone: 1. find and verify the birth record of MICHAEL (O)BRIEN at Aquaforte ± 1810? 2. find and verify the marriage record of MICHAEL (O)BRIEN and CATHERINE (KATE)? 3. find and verify CATHERINE (KATE'S) last name? MANY thanks in advance! BILL DORGAN billdorgan@billdorgan.com

I do have a relative who, had the original work order book of alfred beaton and abraham paul was still alive in 1908, he, benjamin and william paul worked building a road from wigwam point to the mill in dominion through the bush. I do know that benjamin paul died dec 29, 1909 of stomache cancer at 48 but so far nothing on abraham's death. I will do some digging myself to see if between us we can find anything on this. If I found benjamin, then abraham should be found somewhere in the 1920-1940 making him 50 to 70 yrs old. He was RC so it is a matter of getting the right RC church for the area he lived, wigwam point. I am sorry that I do not have anything yet, but will get on it. jackie Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I have been trying to connect up the pauls from NS forever, as a matter of fact I had been given a baptismal from margaree, NS for my mary paul. The dates were wrong by 10 years but the dad was noel. Along with the pauls i have benoit, chassion, leblanc lejeune etc from NS to NFLD and have them to connect up! This is great news for all of us. It only stands to reason that they crossed back and forth as there are tales of the aunties coming in the late spring/summer to pick berries and visit and make baskets. We all appreciate this wonderful wealth of info. thank you phil. I will look further to see if there is anything else on c j fowler that I have. jackie Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
