Hi Jessica > My great-grandmother was Ellen Bouzanne. Jessica, have you tried going through Vital Statistic's of Newfoundland and requesting a search?? Or if the records go back further than Vital's records, you could try The Rooms at PANL.....the Provincal Archives of Newfoundland and Labrador. I found so much information on my family of Flynn's through PANL. There is a cost to it but very minimal. If you go to this site: http://www.therooms.ca/archives/distance_research.asp it will give you the information you need. PANL will search for the record(s) pre 1892.....If the records you are searching for are after 1892, then you have to go through Vital Statistic for a search. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >She died in November 1966 and her service was held at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Winnipeg. You could contact St. Paul the Aposlte Church in Winnipeg. Information at site: http://www.stpaultheapostle.mb.ca/ They would probably be able to give you some information and also the name of the Funeral Home who handled your gr. grandmother's funeral arrangements. You maybe be able to get a copy of her Death Certificate from Vital Stats in Winnipeg and again, this will have her birth date, where she was born, parent's names and where they were born. I was born and raised in Winnipeg and got some family history information from Vital's and this is what is on the copy of the Death Certificates. You may not need this as the Funeral Home would probably have the same information. My own personal opinion........First, I would try and go through St. Paul's Church in Winnipeg first and get the name of the Funeral Home who handled her arrangements. If that fails, I would next try Winnipeg's Vital Statistics for a copy of Ellen's Death Certificate. Good Luck, Jessica Rae Martin Niagara Falls, Ontario

According to my mom's records, she was born in Conception Bay; according to my grandpa's siblings' records, she was from Little Bay. All I know about her is that she married Roderick M McIsaac, a diamond miner. By 1924 she was living in Quebec; by 1929, Sudbury. She moved to Flin Flon, Manitoba in 1935 with her husband and children. She died in November 1966 and her service was held at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Winnipeg. She had five children with her husband, Donalda (b.1924), Patricia (b.1926), Roderick (b.1927), Ellen Ruth (b.1929), and Gerald (b.1935). My grandpa was by another man (her family was never informed of him so it's been very difficult getting any information from the McIsaacs). If anyone has any information on her parents or siblings I would be very grateful. I know is that she was the youngest (or one of the youngest) in a very large family of about thirteen children, and that her birthday was July 23, though none of her children know (or will tell me) the year of her birth.
