    3. What I have is a Frederick Robert Martin marrying a Mary Lucinda Bartlett probably in the early 1900's. I have a John B Martin who married a Martha J. And a Lucy Martin who married Arthur Edward Quinton Pike. Those three lived on Bell Island. Frederick Robert worked in the office of the Belle Isle Mining CO. John B Martin owned a store there and I have nothing for Quentin Pike..These Martins are all direct family, my fathers grandfathers family. I will be in Newfoundland mid June and hope to track down direct family. I am leaving this weekend. So far I have found no direct line. We are assuming that William might not be in the census and that he might have died a very young age before the census was even taken, I am waiting to hear back from my uncle on that and I will let you know for sure. I was also wondering if you have any information on the Warfords and we have none, anything you would be willing to share would be very grateful. I look forward to hearing from you. On the Grand Banks website (http://www.ngb.chebucto.org/) you will find most of the Sacrey's living in Northeast Pacquet (Pacquet), Southwest Pacquet (Woodstock), and Ming's Bight during the 1921, 1935, and 1945 census. Thomas & Theresa were already deceased before 1921. Mary Ann was living on Bell Island by 1921. I haven't found William in any census records in my research so far. Jane was in Jackson's Arm in 1921. I hope that helps. If you have any questions about any of Thomas & Theresa's grandchildren specifically, just let me know who and I'll let you know if/where I've found them in the census records. 3. Hi Which census are you looking for? I have a full set of all three (1921, 1935, and the 1945) here at the house and can check the spelling on the original page for you. Give me the census year. The census district and the community along with the surname with the family members. This so I can be sure you and I are looking at the same family. Be glad to check it out for you. 3. Hi Ric, You could probably receive information from a different List, called TheShipsList. www.rootsweb.com Mailing List "Find a List" But, out of curiousity, I searched on-line for "1775 hurricane" and found a couple of sites mentioning it, including this one: http://rexton.wordpress.com/2007/03/29/newfoundland-and-labrador-marine-disasters-and-shipwrecks/ And just found this site which mentions the hurricane, etc. http://www.mun.ca/research/2007report/funding_news/natural_risks.php According to Dr. Catto, communities in Newfoundland and Labrador are subject to a variety of natural hazards. He points out that the province has experienced floods, storm surges, severe ice and snow storms, droughts, tornadoes and forest fires. Slope failures, he noted, have killed more than 50 people since 1900, while a 1775 hurricane may have claimed as many as 4,000 lives. Newfoundland also suffered the greatest death toll from a seismic event of any current Canadian jurisdiction when a strong earthquake created a tsunami that struck the island in 1929.
