    1. [NFLD-LAB] Early wills on PRO site
    2. Suzanne Lisson
    3. There is a site for the Public Record Office of England at http://www.documentsonline.pro.gov.uk/power-search.asp?searchType=powersearch where you can search for Ancester's wills. If you just enter NEWFOUNDLAND into the search box where it says place, it comes up with 192 wills of early families. It costs £3 or about $6.70 CN - well worth the price and it is sent to you instantly. Good hunting, Suzanne Lisson

    3. Hi Sandy; I also have many loved ones buried in different Cemetaries in my home Town, but my remaining family and I moved away upon my Mother's passing many many years ago. I try to visit my loved ones grave sites when time and finances allow me to do so, whereas I always spend my time tending their graves and making sure that they are cleared from weeds etc. Therefore when I can not visit in person I pay a small fee to a couple {not a relative}to ensure that my loved ones grave sites are cared for each Summer and little flowers {annuals}are planted in the little flower boxes {two, one on either side of the Stone or marking}The graves are kept beautifully. I did place the flower boxes there myself when I visited the Town years ago and it is still in perfect shape. Some of the graves were mowed but most of them you couldnt find for the high weeds and rose bushes. It was sad to see alot of the stones broken ,on the ground and buried with weeds all around. The bees also were busy there and wonder What can be done?? Any thoughts who to contact. I was wondering if there was a Boy scout troop there that could do some service there at the cemetery. Hi All; Having technical problems on my end and not anything to do with the mailing list. This is just a test on my own behalf, seems as if all of the Obits. etc. that I post to the list are coming through my "Delete" box and not my inbox. All other mail seem to be getting through to my inbox ok. It's just my own postings that do not come through to my inbox <smile> Cheers Evelyn

    1. [NFLD-LAB] Joe Batt's Arm Anglican Cemetery
    2. Sandy Doyle
    3. I just came back a few weeks ago from visiting Fogo Island and wanted to put my two cents in about the sad condition of the Anglican Cem. at Joe Batt's Arm. most of my ancestors if not all of them are buried there. Thanks for listening. Sandy from New York

    3. The records for Belvedere cemetary are not on line but the Basilica of St. John Administration Office has access to the cemetary records. They nicely performed a search for all DAVIS names for me when I was visiting there. The printout I obtained is is titled Roman Catholic Episcopal Corporation Cemetary Records. The web site for the Archdiocese is http://www.stjohnsarchdiocese.nf.ca/ Click on Directory then select the Administration Office and look for Supervisor of Cemeteries For what it is worth, the Mt. Carmel records were lost in a fire and are not available. 3. All, Check out www.stonepics.com . They're in the business of selling headstone photos but they have a listing of each headstone with the name and year of death in a very large index. All the St. John's cemeteries are there.
