Hi Wilson, I just read the message you posted on the NFLD-LAB list regarding your cemetery transcription. I was wondering if you would like to have your transcription posted on the NL GenWeb site. Your transcription would make a great addition to the site. If you're not familiar with the GenWeb site, here's the URL http://www.rootsweb.com/~cannf/index.html You'll see that we have an extensive amount of data on the province of Newfoundland & Labrador to help researchers and we're always looking for new material to post. Looking forward to hearing from you. Hi Ed, Thanks for the reply regarding DNA and aboriginal ancestry. I am not related to the Greenspond Edgar's. My gf came to NL from Scotland in 1912. yes it can be used to show aboriginal ancestry. I also saw a show on the history channel recently where they had extracted some DNA from the teeth of two Beothuck skulls being held in Scotland and were doing some tests to see if they can determine the heritage of that tribe. .....
