    3. Dear Jim, I would be interested in any information on the Newtons you have traced to Illinois. I have so far been unsuccessful in tracing my Newton roots beyond my grandfather. Grandfather was George Burton Newton, born Jan. 31, 1880 in Champaign Illinois. His father (according to my records) was Rasmus Newton. George's mother was Martha Isabel Larson. If you have seen any information on either grandfather George, or his father, please e-mail me at the address below. It would be greatly appreciated. Linda M.
