I don't have information that connects to this family for certain; however, I do have the names Edward, Frances, Francis and William in a family of NEWTONs in SC. David NEWTON b. 1811 in SC married Lydia Elizabeth JOINER. There children were: Lenore Newton b. 1859 (named after Elizabeth's sister) William Preston Newton b. July 01, 1860 David B. Newton b. 1862 Mary [Molly] Newton b. 1866 Source: Horry County, SC 1860 Census William Preston NEWTON married Frances Ann HEWITT (this could be where the Frances comes in) and they had children named Edward, William and Frances. Do you think that David R. NEWTON might be from the NEWTONs in DE?
