Hi Jim, Have you come across a NEWTON by the name of PAMELIA or AMELIA. She was b ca 1769 to a THOMAS OR HENRY NEWTON. she d 20 Mar 1856. She m 12 May 1789 THOMAS HICKS IV (1760-1817). Both THOMAS & PAMELIA were born in Dor. Co, MD. They d in OHIO and are buried in the WHITE CEMETERY, McDonough Co, IL. Their dau, MARY HICKS, m THOMAS WHITE, of Dor, MD. THOMAS' uncle was the JUDGE WHITE who kept the REV FRANCIS ASBURY in his home for two years, to protect him from the British. THOMAS & PAMELIA NEWTON HICKS are my 4 great grandparents. Several descs have WILLIS for 1st or 2nd given name, so feel I must be shaking the right tree. SMALL & DOWNES & NOBLE & WOOLFORD & DENWOOD are other names associated with these families.
