All are children of Samuel NEWTON & Elizabeth (NOAKE), my 4x great grandparents, of Branscombe, Devon, England and later of Broadwey, Dorset, England. 1. James NEWTON, born 11 March 1797, Branscombe. Thought to have been a sailor. 2. Isaac NEWTON, bapt 9 June 1799, Broadwey. It was said that he 'died & was buried in Jersey'. 3. William NEWTON, bapt 18 January 1801, Broadwey. Married a 'Londoner' and was a 'Wine merchant of Madeira'. 4. Elizabeth NEWTON, bapt 24 October 1802, Broadwey. Married in 'London to a man named DEMEER?' 5. Israel NEWTON, born in Broadwey. Married in Weymouth, Dorset and had 6 or 7 children. The few biographical details above were written in a notebook by a cousin of the children. Any information would be appreciated.
