Claudie, I have nothing on Nercisa Newton in N.C., but I know that William Newton had children and it is likely some went to that area. He was the son of Joseph and Helena Newton of Greenbriar, Va. It is now part of West Virginia. Go to the Greenbriar Genweb site and put out queries and see what you get from there.
