"Newton and Wright (families) of Virginia, Alabama, and other Southern States," in Historical Southern Families, v. 22, pp. 77-110. This article traces some of the descendants of John Newton, Rev. War soldier born abt 1750 in VA, later in Mecklenburg Co., VA. Some of his children went to GA and others to Alabama.
