Newton remarried after Laura's death and had quite a few more children. There may be others out there who connect. I feel quite sure that James B. Newton's middle name is an phonetic spelling of Buchanan. James Buchanan was President of the U.S. from 1857-1861. His nickname was "Old Buck." That was also the nickname James Buckhannon Newton went by.
