Trish, you say you have a lot of NEWTONs. Do you know anything about David NEWTON about 1811 (probably in SC) and died before 1870. He was married to Lydia Elizabeth JOINER about 1858. She could have been a second wife, since he was 30 years older than she. They had several children: Lenore b. 1859 William Preston b. July 01, 1860 (my g.g.grandfather) David B. b. 1862 Mary [Molly] b. 1866 David was gone by the 1870 Horry County, SC Census. Lydia is listed as Eliza (her middle name is Elizabeth] Yarborough. She is married to John N. Yarborough. They have a 9-month old baby named Martha.
