Well, Gregg, it would seem that we both have our work cut out for us! After reviewing some of the information I have collected (but not verified on my own), my Newton line is from York Co., PA, thru VA, then into Lincoln/Rutherford County area of NC. Don't know where else they may have been in between. My John McCall Newton was the son of Captain Benjamin and Nancy McCall Newton. Captain Ben was the son of Ebenezer and Elizabeth Buchanan (or Bohannan). Some say that Elizabeth was a first cousin to President Buchanan. She was from Ireland. The info I have says that Captain Ben was born c. 1747 in York Co., PA, died 2/20/1835, in Rutherford Co., NC. According to a couple of other researchers, my Newton line is descended from an heir to Sir Isaac (he himself had no offspring), although I have two different possible heirs and have not done the research back as of yet to connect to either of them. I have received helpful information detailing the Newton brothers' journey to the US that looks like it is probably accurate. My Newtons used the names Ebenezer and Benjamin extensively so it gets really confusing trying to figure out who's who on various websites. My John McCall Newton married Jenny (some sites list her as "Jane Erwood" but other family researchers call her Jenny Arrowood or Errowood--could be any variation) in Rutherford County, NC in 1816. He was born 10/14/1787. I don't have any info at all on Jenny. They are my 5th great grandparents. This info may not tie into yours but maybe someone else out there will recognize this line.
