Peggy, I have quite a bit of information on the the Newton's you are researching. I have a Rev. George Newton m. to Anne unknown, also m. to Helen Martin McCall and Mary McCall. He was b. Dec. 1, 1756 in York Co. PA. I also have a Rev. George Newton b. Nov. 7, 1834 in Limestone, Arkansas, d. Oct. 11, 1900 in Ladoga, CA. m. to Harriet Hickey and to a Mary Ann Hamm. I would be happy to send you whatever I have but I have to warn you to definitely double check the information. Somewhere along the line I did something where I ended up accidently mixing up a couple of the people on the tree. It ended up tangling up a couple of sections of the family tree that I am still trying to figure out and untangle! A genealogists worst nightmare! In fact, if anyone else has information on these Newtons and would be willing to share so that I might compare it to mine and see if I can find where I messed up I would be eternally greatful!
