Looking for info on Ruben Newton's father & wife. Ruben was born abt 1795 in either Persons Co. or Caswell Co. NC. Ruben was in a KY unit during the War of 1812,then back in NC in 1815 to marry Mary G or C Newton. Was she a Newton before marriage? She outived him and collected a pension from after his death, sometime after 1846. She was living with one of her sons Isaac Newton after Ruben's death in 1846. Ruben and Mary had 6 children, all born in Hardin Co., KY.
