Excerpts from letter to Bliss Newton Daily from Charles & Leola Anderson, Blockton, IA . "Isaac Newton lived on Highway No. 2 one half mile from Highway No. 25. Elwood Drake told a young man that he and his brother Ike hauled lumber from Creston, IA to build the barn which still stands. The stage coach from Mt. Ayer stopped at this place and then split one route to Bedford, IA and the other took off southwest to Platteville. I understand there is a large cistern in this barn so the horses could be watered inside. The house on the farm is real old. He could have built the house. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, February 16, 2000 8:52 PM Subject: Re: Unidentified subject!
