Do any of you have a Samuel R. Newton born in VA and on the Patrick Co, VA census in 1830 who married a Frances Jones and moved to Polk Co, TX , is found on the 1846 Polk Co, TX census. Samuel and Frances Jones-NEWTON had 2 daughters Elizabeth and Ophelia (my great-grandmother who lived to be 91 and is buried in Waco, McLennan Co TX) NEWTON. Ophelia married Thomas Pascal Barker and had my grandfather Jackson Thomas Barker in Huntsville, Walker Co, TX. Samuel owned a store at Newton's Crossing in Walker CO, TX.
