I hope the mail list will indulge me for taking the space to comment about the experience Jim Ward and I recently had concerning genealogy information. By hitting "Reply", a message I meant to be private was sent to the NEWTON mailing list instead of just to Jim requesting that certain information be deleted from his site. Jim has very graciously disabled the link which contained the information on some of my living family members and has publicly apologized. When I was first learning about computers and the genealogy information that was available online, Jim was one of the first contacts I had and was most kind and helpful to me. Through my inexperience, I did not limit the number of generations sent or request that the information on living people be kept off line, which I now do. Maybe our experience will help newcomers and remind the experienced 'searchers' of what can happen. Having said this, I want to congratulate Jim on his site -- it represents a lot of work and I know it will assist many searching for their ancestors. I look forward to his NEWTON- SPRINGER site being back online and am sure others will appreciate it, too. Thank you, Peggy J. Horton
