I recently acquired the Civil War pension records of Daniel H. Newton, who I discovered is probably not related to my Newton line. Daniel was living in the southern part of Wisconsin when he died, having moved there from N.J. sometime after 1855. His second wife's name was Esther, his first wife Ann died in 1848. Daniel's two sons died in the Civil War, and his pension application stated he had no living children as of 1898. Anybody interested in this file?
