Hi, Jud - thanks for taking the time to drop me a note.....Haven't gotten to "Newton Genealogy" yet.....The Richard you mention...could he be the one I have found born Jan 18, 1590 of Bures St. Mary, Suffolk, England??? I believe he married Anne Loker????? The Dana I'm hunting more info on is the father of my Isaac Newton (finally!!!) that I've been looking for for almost 2 years.....and had a new 'cousin' just send it to me this week.....it had come from my father through others to him!!! My dad's been gone 10 years now...it was almost like having the information handed to me by a ghost.....Genealogy certainly does work in circles!!! Again, thanks for your note....keep my names in mind, please, in case any new info turns up!!!!!!!! Peace to you, cousin...... Kate Kate- I don't think there are any Dana Newtons around that time in my line, though I have a first cousin by that name now living in Seattle. Have you found "Newton Genealogy" by Ermina Newton Leonard? It is very exhaustive and thorough and quite accurate. It was published in 1915 and can be found in good family history libraries. I saw a 'hard copy' in the Marlborough, MA public library a couple of years ago. I first saw a microfiche copy in the Fort Worth PL. The first Newton (Richard c. 1610-1701) was one of the founders of the City of Marlborough, as was a John Maynard, a testator for Richard Newton's will in 1701. Both are direct ancestors of mine, FWIW. -- Peace, Jud
