Have you found "Newton Genealogy" by Ermina Newton Leonard? It is very exhaustive and thorough and quite accurate. It was published in 1915 and can be found in good family history libraries. I saw a 'hard copy' in the Marlborough, MA public library a couple of years ago. I first saw a microfiche copy in the Fort Worth PL. The first Newton (Richard c. 1610-1701) was one of the founders of the City of Marlborough, as was a John Maynard, a testator for Richard Newton's will in 1701. Both are direct ancestors of mine, FWIW. -- Peace, Jud
