Hi Greg, Just tried the "refresh" method of bringing up the 02 June 2009 page and it didn't work; still says 2006. Connie Descended from Rev. Richard Newton through Roswell Newton - 1752 (Rev. War ancestor)and his son Roswell Newton - 1791. PS Two years ago, I told my boss, Sterling E. "Ernie" Norris, Esq., I was going to DAR's Continental Congress in Washington DC. He said that his mother was DAR and could I get a copy of her Application as he didn't know who his Rev. War Ancestor was. At the DAR Library, I found his mother's Application and that his Rev. War ancestor, Sgt. Reuben Beach, crossed the Delaware with Washington, fought under Lafayette, and was discharged by Gen. Washington! This year, Ernie's youngest daughter decided to join DAR so I did some more genealogical research and found that Ernie is my 9th cousin, once removed as we both descend from Rev. Richard Newton. What's even funnier is that we had worked together seven years before Ernie told me that his mother was DAR. As a labor of love, I found that Ernie and his girls have six other Rev. War ancestors. --- On Mon, 6/22/09, Gregg Bonner <greggbonner@yahoo.com> wrote: From: Gregg Bonner <greggbonner@yahoo.com> Subject: [NEWTON] DNA Project updates (answering Monty's questions) To: newton@rootsweb.com Date: Monday, June 22, 2009, 2:03 PM Hi Monty, I believe you have a stale copy of the Project's HTML page in your browser's cache. If you load that page and then click the "refresh" button, then I think that you'll see that the last update date is 02 JUN 2009. At least that is the case for the Project website, which is here: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~gbonner/newtondna/ For those who test at FTDNA (and sign the consent form), their results will "just show up" at this page: http://www.familytreedna.com/public/newton/default.aspx?section=yresults So your results will be put there automatically once they are in. But those are only the FTDNA results. Nothing just shows up at the Project webpage at RootsWeb. I have to code those pages, since I need to bring together data from multiple testing companies. Your results will show on the RootsWeb site as soon as the data is in, and I have the other data required to make your personal page (to see an example, click the name of an existing participant in the results table of the RootsWeb Project page). You can "get the latest" data for FTDNA samples at the familytreedna link above. For samples from other labs, or other things, the best way to get the news is to simply ask on this list as you have done.
