Hello Listers, I am looking for info on John Frank Newton, supposed to be born in North Carolina, married to Flora Ann ??, moved to Sevier County Arkansas sometime between 1895 and 1900. Land records show John and Flora owning land in Sevier Co. and selling timber to several different timber companies. I cannot find them in the 1900 or 1910 census. Family story tells that John got into some kind of trouble and had to sell much of his land. We know he died before 1915, because Flora Ann was admitted to a mental hospital in 1915, as a widow, one week after the death of an unknown grandchild. Flora remained there until her death in 1933, no records show her to have ever had a visitor. ??? Family story also says that the County that John Frank came from in North Carolina was mostly Newtons. Children of John F.
