Newton, son of John Oliver Newton and his wife Katherine Swofford Newton of Rutherford Co., NC, who was born about 1850 in NC. I have no other information on him, but have considerable info on his ancestors. My info comes from a book on the Newtons of this area. Does the birth year fit?
