I hope no one minds, but since I live in Wilson County, Texas, I wanted to straighten out what appears to be a misconception about the location of Concrete Cemetery in the statement "Concrete Cemetery, La Vernia, Guadalupe County, Texas." Concrete Cemetery is located about two miles north of downtown LaVernia on FM 775 in Guadalupe County, Texas. The cemetery is about a half mile inside Guadalupe County. It is very near La Vernia, but LaVernia is located in Wilson County, Texas. The confusion may have come from the statement about the cemetery's location on Interment.net, which is "Located two miles north of downtown LaVernia on FM 775, Guadalupe County, Texas." Thanks. I do not know this individual, nor am I connected as far as I know, but I received the following from the NECASS (Cass Co., Nebraska, USA) list. As in the newspaper: Plattsmouth Journal, Thursday, April 8, 1915 IN PLATTSMOUTH FORTY YEARS AGO Clark NEWTON has bought a lot opposite the Catholic church and is building a neat little house, and not so very little, either. Good idea, Clark. A home of your own is a first-rate thing to have. Judy jryden@charter.net A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.
