I read in family letters, etc. that he was my Grandfather's favorite uncle. Don't know about Margaret Bridges; I have traced down from Richard Newton (Massachussetts ca. 1630) to the present day including all the descendants of my grandfather, John Reuben Newton, M.D. Much of this is in Ermina Newton Leonard's book (Newton Genealogy) which may be found in good family history libraries (e.g., Fort Worth PL) on microfiche. There are a few hard copies around; I found one in Marlborough, MA PL. Richard Newton and several others including a Maynard ancestor were among the founders of the city of Marlborough, MA around 1638 or so. I could email you GEDCOMs of some of this stuff. Jud, If this is your great great uncle, I would like to know more about him, you know like any dates, occupation, if he lived anywhere else, more than one kid. THats the kind of info I am looking for. I don't want to get too caught up in the Newton family. If the gedcoms have that, then you can send it. thanks for contacting me. julie:) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Judson Maynard" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, April 26, 2000 8:38 AM Subject: Re: Lysander Delos Newton and Margaret Bridges > >Hi all, > > > >I am looking for any information on Lysander Delos Newton and > >Margaret Bridges who lived in McDonough County, Illinois. Jud, I am researching Newtons in Dorchester County, MD. Does Ermina Newton Leonard's book deal with a variety of Newton lines or only the Massachusetts line?
