Peggy, I am descendant of Rev George Newton. According to "Historical Southern Families Vol 21" My line starts with definite proof of Ebenezer Newton born 1725. The book suggests that he is descendant of John Newton (baptized December 2,1649 in Oundle, Northampton, England) and his father, Robert Newton (baptized Sept 27, 1607) , brother to Isaac Newton (father of Sir Isaac Newton). I know there are several more books out there, but haven't found them yet. Bob
