This is probably just a wish, but using a naming pattern, I am hoping it may apply- I am looking for my GGGrandmother's name and family and I am hoping her maiden name may have been "Newton"- her name could have been; ("Rebecca/Nancy NEWTON"???) She was born about 1800 in TN or AL. She married William H McBee in Perry or Hardeman Co., TN. before 1825, They had 2 daughters, Rebecca & Nancy, (Rebecca named a son (Jasper Newton). They had 3 sons, 1-John Garvin, 2-William Newton & 3-Silas P. I know they were in Hardeman Co., TN in 1830 and there were also Newton families there in 1830. They were in TX by 1834. If anyone has any hints that this could be part of your family please let me know.
